Tuition Agreement (US MBA)

This Tuition Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the tuition, payment obligations, and refund policies for students enrolled in academic programs offered by Tusculum University.

By accepting admission and enrolling in a program, the student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.

Program Tuition

The total tuition for the (name of the academic program) is: $15,000 USD ($500 per credit hour for 30 credits) and is payable to Tusculum University.

Tuition includes access to the academic program, required coursework, coaching and academic support, and learning platform access provided by Tusculum University. Unless otherwise stated in writing, tuition does not include optional third-party services, travel expenses, lodging, technology purchases, or other incidental personal expenses.

If the student fails to pass a course, the student will be responsible for paying the additional tuition charged as a result of repeating the course.

Payment Options

Students may choose one of the following payment options:

Option A: Payment by Semester

Students are required to pay the full tuition for each semester ($7,500 each semester) before the first day of classes for each semester. This payment requirement applies to all semesters.

Option B: Full Payment

Students may pay the full tuition of $15,000 USD before the first day of classes for the first semester. Tusculum University will hold the amounts allocated to the next semesters as a credit to the student’s account. No discount or incentive is available for paying tuition in full upfront.

Option C: Financial Aid

Students may pay the full semester tuition by using federal financial aid through Tusculum University. This option is reserved for students who qualify for the Federal Unsubsidized Loan and who have completed all steps in order for the Federal Unsubsidized Loan to be accepted.

Payment Administration

All tuition payments must be made directly to Tusculum University. International students may make payments through Pay My Tuition, including payment of the full tuition amount upfront. Late fees and collection procedures are governed by Tusculum University’s billing policies. Regardless of the payment option selected, students remain responsible for the full tuition amount and for satisfying all financial obligations associated with their enrollment, except as otherwise provided in this Agreement.

Payment Responsibility

Students are responsible for ensuring tuition payment for the semester is made before the first day of classes for that semester. Failure to pay or, if using financial aid, have all paperwork completed for the Unsubsidized Loan, will result in the student being administratively withdrawn from their classes.

For students receiving federal financial aid, applicable federal Return of Title IV Funds requirements also apply. These requirements determine how much federal aid you earn and whether you must return any unearned aid. This calculation is separate from the determination of any tuition refund and may result in an outstanding balance owed by the student, and the student is responsible for paying the remaining balance immediately.

Any late fees or collection costs will be assessed in accordance with Tusculum’s billing policies and applicable law.

Extensions

Tusculum University is committed to supporting student success while maintaining academic standards and program integrity. Students who are unable to complete their program within the standard program timeframe may request an extension, subject to approval by the University.

Extension requests must be submitted in writing before the student's original program end date and should include the reason for the request and a proposed completion plan. Approval may be granted, and is at the sole discretion of Tusculum University, and is not guaranteed.

Approved extensions may be subject to additional extension or continuation fees, which will be communicated to the student before the extension is finalized. Any outstanding tuition or other financial obligations must be satisfied before an extension request will be considered.

Students who do not complete their program within the approved extension period may be administratively withdrawn from the program and may be required to reapply for admission under the academic policies and tuition rates then in effect.

Granting an extension does not modify the student's academic requirements or guarantee successful completion of the program.

Withdrawal from the Program

Students may voluntarily withdraw from the program at any time by providing written notice to the Registrar’s Office at Tusculum University.

Withdrawal from the program does not release a student from outstanding financial obligations. The student will be responsible to pay any remaining tuition or charges due.

Tuition Refund Policy

Tuition refunds and withdrawals for this program are governed by Tusculum University’s applicable refund and withdrawal policies. Students must follow Tusculum’s withdrawal procedures, and any refund eligibility, applicable deadlines, and refund amounts will be determined in accordance with those policies. Students should review Tusculum’s billing and refund policies before enrolling and before requesting a withdrawal.

For students receiving federal financial aid, applicable federal Return of Title IV Funds requirements also apply. These requirements determine how much federal aid you earn and whether you must return any unearned aid. This calculation is separate from the determination of any tuition refund and may result in an outstanding balance owed by the student.

Students remain responsible for any outstanding balance due to Tusculum University following applicable tuition adjustments and financial aid calculations.

Administrative Withdrawal

Tusculum University reserves the right to withdraw a student for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Failure to meet academic standards

  • Violations of institutional policies

  • Academic misconduct

  • Non-payment of tuition

  • Behavior that disrupts the learning environment

Administrative withdrawal does not entitle the student to a tuition refund.

Deferred Enrollment

At the sole discretion of Tusculum University, a student may request to defer enrollment to a future cohort.

Approved deferrals do not constitute a refund of tuition.

Exceptional Circumstances

Tusculum University recognizes that extraordinary personal circumstances may arise. Requests for exceptions to this Agreement due to documented medical emergencies, military service, or other significant unforeseen events may be submitted in writing for review. Approval of any exception is solely at the discretion of Tusculum University and does not establish precedent for future requests.

Changes to Tuition

Students who have accepted admission and enrolled in a cohort will not be subject to tuition increases during that cohort's normal program duration. Any student who enrolls in a cohort outside of their starting cohort, will be subject to a tuition increase.

Tusculum University reserves the right to revise tuition for future cohorts.

Financial Obligations

Students agree to pay all tuition owed under this Agreement. Any unpaid balance remains the responsibility of the student until paid in full. If the student fails to pay any unpaid balances within the timeframe set by Tusculum University’s Business Office, the student may be turned over to collections and will be responsible for the unpaid balance plus any incurred fees.
