As a project-based institution preparing ethical leaders to create meaningful impact, we expect every student to uphold the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.

This Student Code of Conduct establishes the expectations for student behavior throughout all aspects of participation in The Mana College, including online coursework, coaching sessions, discussions, assessments, project work, communication, and interactions with faculty, staff, mentors, fellow students, and external partners.

Enrollment at The Mana College constitutes agreement to abide by this Code of Conduct.

Our Guiding Principles

Students are expected to embody the values that define The Mana College and Ethical Efficiency™ by:

• Acting with honesty and integrity.

• Treating every individual with dignity and respect.

• Taking ownership of their learning and professional development.

• Contributing positively to collaborative learning environments.

• Demonstrating humility, curiosity, and openness to feedback.

• Making decisions that create value while considering their impact on people, organizations, communities, and future generations.

• Applying knowledge responsibly and ethically.

Academic Integrity

Academic integrity is fundamental to meaningful learning and professional credibility. Students are expected to:

• Complete all coursework honestly.

• Submit original work unless collaboration is explicitly permitted.

• Properly cite and acknowledge the ideas, research, and work of others.

• Accurately represent project data, analyses, and outcomes.

• Refrain from falsifying, fabricating, or manipulating information.

• Use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and other technologies responsibly in accordance with course requirements.

Examples of academic misconduct include, but are not limited to:

• Plagiarism.

• Cheating on quizzes or assessments.

• Unauthorized collaboration.

• Purchasing or submitting work created by another individual.

• Fabricating project results or organizational data.

• Falsifying attendance, participation, or completion records.

• Misrepresenting work experience, project outcomes, or portfolio materials.

Violations may result in disciplinary action, including failure of an assignment, course failure, suspension, dismissal, or revocation of certificates or academic awards where appropriate.

Professional Conduct

Students represent themselves, their organizations, and The Mana College throughout their educational experience. Students are expected to:

• Communicate professionally and respectfully.

• Participate constructively during coaching sessions and discussions.

• Honor commitments and deadlines whenever reasonably possible.

• Accept differing viewpoints with professionalism.

• Provide feedback respectfully and thoughtfully.

• Support a collaborative learning environment.

Disruptive, intimidating, or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.

Respectful Learning Environment

The Mana College is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every individual feels respected and valued. Students must not engage in:

• Harassment or discrimination.

• Bullying or intimidation.

• Hate speech.

• Personal attacks.

• Threatening behavior.

• Sexual harassment.

• Retaliation against any individual who raises concerns in good faith.

Respectful disagreement is welcomed; disrespectful behavior is not.

Online Learning Expectations

Because The Mana College operates primarily through online learning, students are expected to maintain professional conduct in all digital spaces. Students should:

• Participate respectfully in discussion forums.

• Use appropriate language in written and verbal communications.

• Protect the privacy of classmates and faculty.

• Avoid disruptive behavior during virtual meetings.

• Refrain from recording coaching sessions or classes without prior authorization.

Students are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials and accounts.

Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Mana College recognizes that Artificial Intelligence can enhance learning, research, productivity, and innovation when used responsibly. Students may use AI tools to:

• Brainstorm ideas.

• Improve writing clarity.

• Support research.

• Explore concepts.

• Generate drafts when permitted.

Students remain fully responsible for:

• Understanding all submitted work.

• Verifying factual accuracy.

• Ensuring originality where required.

• Complying with instructor-specific guidance.

AI must never be used to:

• Circumvent learning objectives.

• Submit work as entirely one's own when prohibited.

• Fabricate citations or research.

• Misrepresent competence or project results.

Confidentiality and Organizational Information

Many students complete projects within their employers or partner organizations. Students must:

• Protect confidential and proprietary information.

• Obtain appropriate organizational permissions where required.

• Remove or anonymize sensitive information before submission whenever possible.

• Respect all confidentiality agreements.

The Mana College encourages the use of anonymized project examples whenever practical.

Ethical Project Work

Project work is central to The Mana College experience. Students are expected to:

• Collect and report data honestly.

• Respect stakeholders affected by improvement initiatives.

• Seek solutions that balance efficiency with ethics.

• Consider impacts on employees, customers, communities, and organizational sustainability.

• Avoid manipulating project results solely to satisfy course requirements.

Projects should reflect Ethical Efficiency by creating measurable improvement while honoring human dignity, transparency, and long-term responsibility.

Intellectual Property

Students retain ownership of work they independently create unless otherwise governed by agreements with their employers or third parties.

By submitting coursework, students grant The Mana College a limited, non-exclusive license to review, assess, archive, and maintain educational records as necessary for academic purposes.

The Mana College will not publicly publish student work without appropriate permission, except where required by law or accreditation.

Students must also respect the intellectual property rights of faculty, classmates, and third parties.

Communication Standards

Students are expected to communicate professionally with faculty, staff, coaches, and fellow learners. Professional communication includes:

• Courtesy and respect.

• Timely responses when appropriate.

• Constructive dialogue.

• Appropriate language.

• Good faith participation in resolving misunderstandings.

Repeated abusive or inappropriate communications may result in disciplinary action.

Compliance with Laws and Policies

Students are expected to comply with all applicable laws, institutional policies, platform terms of use, and applicable copyright and privacy laws while participating in The Mana College.

Reporting Concerns

Students are encouraged to report suspected violations of this Code of Conduct or other institutional policies.

Reports will be reviewed fairly and, where appropriate, confidentially. Retaliation against individuals who report concerns in good faith is prohibited.

Disciplinary Actions

When violations occur, The Mana College may take disciplinary action proportionate to the nature and severity of the conduct. Possible actions include:

• Informal coaching or guidance.

• Written warning.

• Required corrective action.

• Removal from specific learning activities.

• Assignment or course failure.

• Academic probation.

• Temporary suspension.

• Dismissal from The Mana College.

• Revocation of certificates, academic credit, or credentials in cases involving serious fraud or academic dishonesty.

Nothing in this Code limits The Mana College's ability to take immediate action where necessary to protect students, faculty, staff, institutional integrity, or the learning environment.

Amendments

The Mana College reserves the right to amend this Student Code of Conduct at any time. Updated versions become effective upon publication and apply to continued student participation.

Student Acknowledgment

By enrolling in The Mana College, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Student Code of Conduct. Students further acknowledge that violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the institution.
